Naseem Project

The project Naseem is implemented in Iraq including Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) from the 01/01/2014 to the 31/12/2017.

The overall objectives are: To ensure that persons with disabilities living in 6 Governorates of North and Central Iraq have improved access to social services.Disabled people’s organizations (DPOs) in Iraq effectively represent the rights of persons with disabilities and promote their inclusion in policy dialogues and decision making on relevant political reforms at central and local levels.The expected results 4 of the project is to ensure that DPOs in 6 Iraqi governorates  have improved organizational skills and increased capacities to advocate, raise awareness and promote the rights of persons with disabilities effectively and independently.The expected results 5 of the project is to ensure that DPOs and other CSOs in the field of disability in 6 Iraqi governorates effectively promote the rights of persons with disabilities and the implementation of the UN convention on the rights of persons with disabilities (CRPD), and expand their collaboration with public authorities and service providers to improve access to services.
